I believe that homosexuality and gender identity
are normal variations in human sexuality. While GLBT clients struggle with issues specific to their community (such
as homophobia and coming out), therapy doesn't have to center exclusively on issues of sexual orientation or gender
identity. In fact, your sexual identity is only one piece of the complex puzzle that makes you a unique individual.
Whether your conflict is anxiety, depression, addiction, coming out, discrimination, or internalized homophobia
(shame), my focus is on you. I would like to help by providing insightful and supportive therapy to help guide you through
your personal conflicts.
I also recognize that human development is best
understood within the framework of family relationships, past and present. Couples and family therapy explores interpersonal
patterns and helps find solutions to problems in relationships. Whether I am working with an individual, a couple or
a family, I would like to offer supportive therapy that will help you explore new possibilities for joy and meaning
in your life.
